The apocrypha is a collection of books that were included in the original 1611 King James Bible (KJV). These apocryphal books were placed between the Old and New Testament and included maps and genealogies. The apocrypha remained a part of the KJV for 274 years until it was removed in 1885 A.D. Some entities, such as the Catholic church, referred to a portion of these books as deuterocanonical books.

The Cambridge Annotated Study Apocrypha, edited by Howard C. Kee, reveals the existence of 70 missing verses in 2 Esdras that are not included in the King James Version Apocrypha. These verses can also be found in the NRSV Holy Bible with the Apocrypha, published by Oxford University Press.

The Apocrypha/Deuterocanonical: Bible's Lost Books includes the following books: 1 Esdras, 2 Esdras, Tobit, Judith, Additions to Esther, Wisdom of Solomon, Sirach, Baruch, the Letter of Jeremiah, Prayer of Azariah, Susanna, Bel and the Dragon, Prayer of Manasseh, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, and Laodiceans.

There are differing opinions regarding the inclusion of the apocrypha in the Bible. Some question its validity and argue that it was not inspired by God. For example, Tobit chapter 6, verses 5-8 contains a reference to magic which seems inconsistent with the rest of the Bible. Others believe that the apocrypha is valid and should never have been removed. They argue that it was considered part of the Bible for nearly 2,000 years before its removal just over 100 years ago. Some claim that it was removed due to the inability to find these books in the original Hebrew manuscripts. Others assert that printers removed it to cut costs in distributing Bibles in the United States. Both sides often reference Revelation 22:18, which warns against adding or subtracting from the Bible. The word "apocrypha" means "hidden," and fragments of Dead Sea Scrolls discovered before 70 A.D. contained parts of the apocrypha books in Hebrew, including Sirach and Tobit.

The app also offers the King James Version (KJV) and the World English Bible (WEB) for download within the app, both of which are regarded highly by scholars. The KJV, authorized by King James I of England in 1604, is considered one of the most influential and popular Bible versions. The World English Bible (WEB) is a complete translation of the Holy Bible in modern English.
